Recipe Ingredients for Brian's stuffed green peppers

12 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Red
16 oz Laura's 96% Lean Ground Round
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
7 pepper Pepper, Serrano
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Red
15 oz Tomato Sauce No Salt Added
3 slice Sliced Cheese
2 serving jewel mexican shredded cheese
3 clove Garlic
2 serving Lundberg Long Grain Brown Rice

Recipe Directions for Brian's stuffed green peppers

  1. Core the peppers.

  2. Dice the remaining vegatables.

  3. Brown the ground meet, drain, and remove from skillet.

  4. Put veggies and garlic in skillet and saute for about 5 min.

  5. Make rice according to directions.

  6. Return meat to skillet and add cooked rice and tomato sauce.

  7. Cook for an additional 5 - 10 min. Then use this to stuff the green peppers.

  8. Once the pepper is one third filled, sprinkle in some of the grated cheese, then again at two thirds filled.

  9. Finish stuffing the pepper to the top.

  10. Cover with foil and cook at 300 degrees for 30 min.

  11. Top off each pepper with one fourth of a slice of the pepper jack cheese, and return to the oven for 5 - 7 min.
