This version is made with homemade crescent roll dough. (See directions to make Crescent Roll Dough - Bread Machine, then use only 1/2 of the recipe.)

Recipe Ingredients for Breakfast Pizza 2 (11x17 dish)

16 ounce pork sausage
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
4 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 black pepper, to taste
1/2 cup milk, warm
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 ounce active dry yeast

Recipe Directions for Breakfast Pizza 2 (11x17 dish)

  1. Make crescent roll dough (and use only 1/2 for 1 pizza).

  2. Cook sausage.

  3. Roll out dough into a greased 9x13 pan. Press dough 1/2" up the sides. Cover and set aside until dough rises to desired height.

  4. Sprinkle with sausage and then cheese (in this order.)

  5. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and pepper and pour the cheese layer.

  6. Bake uncovered at 425 F for 18 minutes (and probably no more than 20) until eggs are not "jiggly."
