Yummy fruity oatmeal that is good hot or cold. I make a bowl of this every morning and reserve a small dessert bowl for an evening snack instead of ice cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Breakfast Oatmeal

1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
1/3 cup fat free yogurt
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Recipe Directions for Breakfast Oatmeal

  1. Prepare steel cut oats as directed. Refrigerate and reheat 1/2 cup in microwave or, if using quick cooking oatmeal, mix 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 cup of water in microwavable bowl and microwave for 1:20 minutes on power level 5.

  2. Please blueberries and raspberries in separate bowl and thaw in microwave on high for one minute.

  3. Mix all ingredients. If too tart, add a teaspoon of sugar or Splenda.

  4. Optional: Mix in 1/4 cup of All Bran cereal, or almonds.
