this is a family recipe and a traditional holiday breakfast -- easy to prep and easy to serve

Recipe Ingredients for Breakfast Casserole

9 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1 lb ground sausage, browned
2 cups shredded cheese
8 slices white bread (no crust)
4 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Breakfast Casserole

  1. butter bread and remove crust, cut into cubes and lay in pan butter down.

  2. brown sausage, drain off greese and sprinkle on top of bread.

  3. mix egg and milk completely them pour over sausage

  4. top with shredded cheese

  5. place in fridge overnight to set

  6. bake at 350 for 50 minutes

  7. should be golden brown on top and thick throughout
