Recipe Ingredients for Breakfast Casserole - from Penny Valentine

32 ozs. bread, white
2 lbs. sausage, breakfast hot
2 lbs. sausage, breakfast mild
10 eggs
32 oz. 2% milk
1 onion, finely diced
1 bell pepper, green finely diced
1 bell pepper, red finely diced
2 lb. shredded cheese, Cheddar
2 lb. shredded cheese, Monterey Jack

Recipe Directions for Breakfast Casserole - from Penny Valentine

  1. In 9x13 baking dish

  2. Butter first layer of bread, put butter side down so it will not stick

  3. Top with 1/2 sausage, pepper/onion mixture

  4. Cover with 1/2 of the cheese

  5. repeat

  6. layer of bread

  7. layer of meat mixture

  8. layer of cheese

  9. In a separate bowl mix 10 eggs and 32 ozs. 2% milk till well blended

  10. Pour over casserole

  11. Let sit in fridge overnight

  12. Bake at 350 for 60-90 minutes or until firm
