A cold breakfast treat served with low fat or no fat vanilla yogurt

Recipe Ingredients for Breakfast Apple Granola Crisp

1 lb apples
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cup oats

Recipe Directions for Breakfast Apple Granola Crisp

  1. Peel and core 1.5 pounds of apples. Place the apples in a glass baking dish. Sprinkle with corn starch and brown sugar. (you may add lemon juice to keep apples from turning brown)

  2. In a small sauce pan over low heat warm the honey.

  3. In a small bowl combine oats, wheat germ and warmed honey. Sprinkle over apples. Cover pan with foil and bake for 30 mins at 400. Uncover pan with about 5 mins to go to crisp granola. Allow to cool to room temp and then store in fridge.
