Fast rising - modified from Fleischmann's recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Bread - Whole Wheat & Oat Bran

2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups white whole wheat flour
1/2 ounce yeast (2 envelopes Fleischmann's RapidRise yeast)
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons molasses
3 tbsp canola oil
1/2 cup oat bran (or millers bran)

Recipe Directions for Bread - Whole Wheat & Oat Bran

  1. Combine two cups of the flour, undissolved yeast, and salt in mixing bowl. Heat water, milk, honey, and butter until very warm (120-130 degrees f.) Add to mixing bowl, beat two minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl as needed.

  2. Add 1/2 cups flour and the bran, then beat two minutes at high speed. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.

  3. Place in greased 9x5" pan. Cover and let rise until about an inch over the top of the pan.

  4. Bake in preheated 375 oven for 40-45 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
