This is a recipe for homemade light wheat bread that you can use in your bread machine.

Recipe Ingredients for Bread Machine Rosemary Italian Light Wheat Bread

1 cup water
3 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp white sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp dried rosemary
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast

Recipe Directions for Bread Machine Rosemary Italian Light Wheat Bread

For bread machine, add all ingredients as your machine manufacturer suggests. I usually add them liquids first, then sugar, then bread flour mixture with all spices, then add yeast to the center in a small well and place the salt along the outside edge of the pan to keep it from reacting too soon with the yeast. For most of the breads I make, I add another 20 minutes to the cycle at the beginning to warm up the water. I get much better results that way. Bake on the wheat cycle, medium crust, 1 or 1.5 lb loaf.
