Recipe Ingredients for Bread Machine Bagels

1.33 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 serving Clover Honey
1 tsp Salt, Table
1.33 cup White Whole Wheat Flour
2.67 cup White Flour, Unbleached
0.75 tbsp Original

Recipe Directions for Bread Machine Bagels

  1. Let the machine knead the dough once, and then let it rise 20 minutes only in the machine (30 min total so far).

  2. Divide the dough into 10 pieces and roll each piece into a rope, make a circle and press ends together. Wet ends if necessary.

  3. Place on well greased baking sheet, cover and let rise only 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. meanwhile, bring to a slight boil in a nonaluminum pan, about 2 inches of water. Carefully lower about 3 or 4 bagels into the water, cooking about 30 seconds on each side. Remove, drain on towel, sprinkle with seeds or dried onion bits if desired and place on the greased baking sheet.

  5. Bake in a preheated 550F oven for 8 minutes.

  6. I baked at 450F for 10 minutes.
