Recipe Ingredients for Bran muffins

2 cups boiling water
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups bran
2 cups shredded wheat
1 cup shortening
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
3 cups sugar
1 quart buttermilk
4 tablespoons baking soda

Recipe Directions for Bran muffins

  1. soak first three items in water

  2. add rest of ingredients

  3. bake in muffin tins.

  4. 375 for about 20 mins
