This recipe is from the back of Bob's Red Mill Unprocessed Miller's Wheat Bran. I replaced 1/4 of raisins with 1/4 c dried cranberries. I used silver almonds because I had them left over from Christmas baking.

Recipe Ingredients for Bran Muffins

1 cup wheat bran
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup milk
1/2 cup molasses
3/4 cup applesauce
1/4 slivered almonds
2 tablespoons canola oils
2 eggs

Recipe Directions for Bran Muffins

Preheat over 400 F. Combine all dry ingredients. Stir in nuts, raisins & cranberries. In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients, mix well. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just moistened. Spoon into Teflon muffin tins and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 12 muffins.
