Recipe Ingredients for Bran Muffins (116 cals)

1 c wheat bran
1 1/4 c whole wheat flour
1/4 c sugar (brown if using honey)
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1/4 c applesauce
1 c 2% milk
1/4 c molasses (or honey)
1/4 c raisins

Recipe Directions for Bran Muffins (116 cals)

  1. Combine dry ingredients.

  2. Stir in wet ingredients and raisins until moistened.

  3. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

  4. OPTIONAL: Omit raisins and reduce to 110 cals per muffin.
