Recipe Ingredients for Bran Flax Muffins

1 1/2 cups white flour
3/4 cup ground flax seed
3/4 cup wheat bran
1 cup brown sugars
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 cups finely shredded carrots
2 apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup 2% milk
2 eggs

Recipe Directions for Bran Flax Muffins

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.

  2. Stir in apples (grated), carrots, raisins and nuts.

  3. Combine moist ingredients, and pour into dry ingredients.

  4. Stir until moistened.

  5. Fill muffin cups.

  6. Bake at 350 for 18 minutes.

  7. Yield 16 muffins.
