Recipe Ingredients for Bran Cereal

6 c bran cereal
2 c water
1 c oil - Hazelnut
2 c sugar
1 c Honey
4 egg
32 oz buttermilk
5 c Wheat Flour
5 t baking soda
2 t salt

Recipe Directions for Bran Cereal

  1. Pour the boiling water over 2 cups of the bran and let stand a few minutes, then add the oil. Stir the rest of the bran along with sugar, eggs, & buttermilk. Sift flour w/ soda & salt. Combine all ingredients. Store in ice cream pail, or other airtight container in fridge for up to 6 weeks. Bake desired number of muffins @ 400 degrees for 20 min.

  2. This recipe lends itself well to all sorts of "add ins"--raisins & other dried fruit, nuts, seeds, a little wheat germ. If you want to negate the healthiness of these, add some white chocolate or butterscotch chips. Delicious!!
