Recipe Ingredients for Bran Applesauce Loaf

1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup honey
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Bran Applesauce Loaf

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oat bran and applesauce. Set aside. Cream butter and honey. Add egg and mix well. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt cinnamon and cloves. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce-bran cereal mixture. Mix until just blended. Stir in raisins. Pour batter into a greased, floured loaf pan (9x5x3"). Bake for 60 minutes, or until bread tests done. Cool in pan for about 10 mins. Turn out on a wire rack to cool completely.
