Recipe Ingredients for Braised Short Ribs

2 lbs beef short ribs
14 oz low sodium beef broth
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
4 cups of water
1 cup of brown rice

Recipe Directions for Braised Short Ribs

  1. Season short ribs with salt and garlic powder

  2. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees

  3. Cool for 10 minutes

  4. Saute onion on medium heat until translucent

  5. Add short ribs, beef broth and 2 cups of water

  6. Bring to boil for 15 minutes

  7. Cover and lower to a simmer for 2.5 hours

  8. Bring 2 cups of water and rice to boil

  9. Cover and simmer for 35 minutes
