Savoy cabbage braised in wine with nutmeg

Recipe Ingredients for Braised Savoy Cabbage

1 head of cabbage, savoy
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Braised Savoy Cabbage

  1. Heat olive oil over nmeduim heat in deep skillet (that has a cover)

  2. Add shredded cabbage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add salt and pepper, and then add wine.

  4. Let wine bubble for a few minutes, and then add brown sugar and nutmeg.

  5. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until tender; stirring occasionally.

  6. Taste, adjust seasing, and serve warm.
