Carrots braised lightly with just a touch of butter.

Recipe Ingredients for Braised carrots

1 cup chopped carrots
2 tsp butter
1 tablespoon water

Recipe Directions for Braised carrots

  1. Peel and chop carrots into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. Preheat small frying pan on medium heat, when warm add butter and coat bottom.

  3. Put carrots in pan and add water. (Carrots should be in about one layer with some overlap)

  4. Place a tight fitting lid on pan and turn heat to medium low.

  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes to desired 'doneness'.
