Recipe Ingredients for Braised Brussels Sprouts -V A

1 lb brussels sprouts, fresh, cleaned and halved
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp garlic
1 tsp black mustard seed
1 tsp sea salt

Recipe Directions for Braised Brussels Sprouts -V A

In a bowl, rub the Brussels sprouts in a small amount of olive oil and salt. Heat a pan with a little more olive oil and a small pat of butter. Lay the halves down flat side down over medium low heat and cover for 5 minutes. When they are a little browned, take the cover off, turn the heat up and caramelize the other sides. In the final minutes, toss in mustard seed and garlic powder. Plate and finish with grated cheese. Eat nice and hot!
