Brussel sprouts with crispy bacon and shallots

Recipe Ingredients for Braised Brussel Sprouts

8 oz Brussels Sprouts
2 serving (Kroger)Lower Sodium Bacon
3 oz Shallots
1 tsp Chicken Base

Recipe Directions for Braised Brussel Sprouts

  1. Chop and cook bacon in an oven safe saute pan. When bacon is crispy add chopped shallots and saute one minute.

  2. Add halved brussel sprouts and saute until they begin to color and are bright green.

  3. Deglaze pan with chicken base added to 3/4 cup of water. Add pepper to taste. Finish in a 400 oven for 10 minutes until tender.
