Recipe Ingredients for Braised Brussel Sprout

10 brussel sprouts
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon parmasan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped shallots

Recipe Directions for Braised Brussel Sprout

  1. cut brussel sprouts in half and place face down in a sautee pan add the chopped shallots

  2. add 1/4 cup of water (just enough to cover the pan)

  3. cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until brussels are tender and water has evaporated (may need to remove lid for a few minutes to burn off all the water

  4. pour olive oil in pan and let sautee for another 3-5 minutes or until brussels are browned on bottom

  5. remove from heat sprinkle with cheese and toss and serve
