Recipe Ingredients for Bowtie pasta with Sausage and Peppers

1 pound Italian sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 red bell peppers, chopped
1 onion, chopped
16 ounces bowtie pasta
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Bowtie pasta with Sausage and Peppers

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

  2. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

  3. While pasta is cooking, cook sausage, peppers and onions in a skillet over medium heat until sausage browns and juices are clear.

  4. Drain sausage mixture and return it to the pan.

  5. Pour in the broth, season with black pepper and bring to a boil.

  6. Toss pasta with sausage sauce and serve.
