Recipe Ingredients for Borscht

1 tbsp olive oil
125 g onion
125 g celery
440 g beets
96 g turnips
88 g carrots
408 g cabbage
1586 ml water
1/2 c oatmeal
2 tbsp dill

Recipe Directions for Borscht

  1. Chop or grate all vegetables.

  2. Add to the pot as they are chopped.

  3. Cover in water.

  4. Cook until tender and soft.

  5. If you prefer, you can process with a hand blender or leave as is.

  6. The oatmeal gives the broth some thickness and shine.
