Mushrooms cooked in wine and chicken broth - a great addition to any meal. I swap in red wine and beef broth if I'm having beef, and sherry and beef broth if I'm eating pork.

Recipe Ingredients for Boozy Mushrooms

4 oz sliced mushrooms
1 clove garlic, sliced
1 tbsp shallots, minced
1 tsp dried herbs (basil, oregano, parsley, etc.)
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 cup fat free chicken broth
2 oz white wine

Recipe Directions for Boozy Mushrooms

  1. Heat small saute pan over medium heat.

  2. Add mushrooms and saute until they release their liquid.

  3. Add Italian seasoning, garlic and shallots and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Add broth and wine and cook until reduced by half.
