Garbanzos and Walnuts in a burger

Recipe Ingredients for Bonzo Burgers

1/2 c. cooked garbanzo beans
1/2 c. water
2 T. soy sauce
1 T. nutritional yeast flakes
2 garlic cloves
1 c. quick oats
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 c. onion, minced

Recipe Directions for Bonzo Burgers

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in blender and whiz until smooth.

  2. COMBINE remaining ingredients in bowl.

  3. ADD blender ingredients.

  4. MIX well.

  5. FORM patties.

  6. COVER and BAKE on non-stick

  7. Pam-sprayed cookie sheet at 350 for

  8. approximately 40 minutes, turn after

  9. 20 minutes.

  10. OR cook in covered skillet on low for

  11. 20 minutes each side.

  12. SERVE on burger buns with all the

  13. trimmings.
