Ground Beef based Sauce for accompanying pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Bolognese Sauce

450 g Ground Beef
240 g Tomatoes
175 ml Wine
25 g Tomato Puree
1 Onion
1 Carrot
1 Pepper
1 tbsp Vegetable oil
5 g mixed herbs

Recipe Directions for Bolognese Sauce

  1. 1. Grate the carrot, chop the celery and onion fine, place in large saucepan

  2. and fry gently in a little oil until soft.

  3. 2. Add the mince, turn up heat and continue until no pink meat left.

  4. 3. Add the tomatoes, herbs and choice of options.

  5. 4. Simmer gently for 3 hours.

  6. 5. Taste after 1 hour and add the orange or lemon juice if it needs sharpening ? probably if you used tinned tomatoes
