Recipe Ingredients for Bolognese Sauce

12 oz Sausage
1 cup, chopped Onions
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 cup, diced Celery
4 clove Garlic
29 oz Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
6 oz Tomato Paste
4 fl oz Wine, Table, Red
1 1/2 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
1 tsp Oregano, Ground
2 tsp Marjoram, Dried
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Pepper, Black
2 oz Whipping Cream
2 tbsp Parsley

Recipe Directions for Bolognese Sauce

  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven cook the sausage, onion, sweet pepper, celery, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain.

  2. Carefully stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, dried herbs, salt and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Uncover; simmer 10 to 15 minutes more or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Stir in whipping cream, parsley and fresh herbs. Heat through.

  3. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
