Makes 2 servings

(adapted from Hungry-Girl.com) VERY filling over Shirataki Noodles (only 20 cal/serving!) Add grated parmesan if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Bolognese Sauce 148 cal/serving

1 teaspoon olive oil
75 grams onion (1/2 of large)
6 grams garlic (2 cloves)
1 1/2 gram oregano (1 t.)
7/10 gram dried basil (1 t.)
1/2 gram cayenne pepper (1/4 t.)
4 grams Bouillon, Dehydrated, Dry (1 cube)
366 grams (1 1/2 cups) tomotoes, crushed
2/3 cup Morningstar Crumbles

Recipe Directions for Bolognese Sauce 148 cal/serving

  1. Adapted from "Shiritaki Spaghetti--Food to fill you up" on Hungry-girl.com

  2. Saute 1/4 of an onion and two cloves of garlic in 1 tsp olive oil

  3. Add 1 full can (or small box- about 1.5 cups) of crushed tomatoes, 1 cube chicken bouillon made in .25c water, and basil, oregano and cayenne.

  4. Let simmer while you prepare your shirataki noodles according to the directions on the package (only takes a few minutes of boiling. Cut the noodles up a bit before cooking, they are really long).

  5. Add 2/3 of a cup morningstar crumbles (vegan meat, tastes really good).

  6. Stir a bitmore, let simmer again and add your shiritaki noodles, stir again.

  7. Optional: sweeten recipe w/ one Splenda at the end of cooking.

  8. PS: If you haven't eaten shirataki noodles before, I reccomend a small amount first; I am fine with them but some people, especially those not used to a lot of fiber in their diets, have some stomach problems if they eat a lot of it.
