this is the way i make a meat sauce

Recipe Ingredients for bolognese

16 ounces Beef, Ground, 90% Lean Meat / 10% Fat, Crumbles
1/2 onion
4 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
16 ounces tomato sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Recipe Directions for bolognese

  1. brown beef, drain set aside.

  2. saute onions

  3. (sometimes i add one cup wine at this point. cook, reduce.)

  4. add the garlic, saute

  5. add the beef back to the pan

  6. add seasonings. + salt and pepper to taste

  7. add one can premade tomato sauce. i use the one in the can.

  8. reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
