Home made Bolognese Sauce - Serve with Spaghetti

Recipe Ingredients for Bolgnese Sauce

450 g ground beef
1 onion
1 leek
3 cloves garlic
450 g canned tomatoes
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp marjoram

Recipe Directions for Bolgnese Sauce

  1. Add oil to pan and heat

  2. Add onions, garlic and leek to pan and saute until soft

  3. Add beef to pan and brown for 3-5 mins

  4. Add tomato puree and stir in thoroughly

  5. Add canned tomatoes and another can's worth of water and bring to simmer

  6. Add basil, marjoram, oregano and some bay leaves to the sauce

  7. leave to simmer for 20-30 mins and serve with spaghetti
