Recipe Ingredients for Blueberry Waffles

1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup flax seed meal
1/4 cup wheat germ
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoon splenda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large egg whites - beaten
1 3/4 cups skim milk
1/2 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups blueberries

Recipe Directions for Blueberry Waffles

  1. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients (flour, oats, flax meal, wheat germ, baking powder, splenda and salt).

  2. In a seperate bowl, mix together the egg whites, milk, applesauce, berries, and vanilla.

  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

  4. Cook waffles in a lightly-greased preheated waffle iron according to manufacturers instructions.
