An overnight oatmeal that provides four servings. Made with Oatmeal, frozen wild blueberries, and flaxseed. Cinnamon optional. Great with a drizzle of honey, and/or sliced almonds or walnuts sprinkled on top.

Recipe Ingredients for Blueberry Steel Cut Oatmeal with Flaxseed

4 cups Water
160 grams of Quaker Steel Cut
5 grams Cinnamon
50 grams of Milled Flaxseed
190 grams of Blueberries

Recipe Directions for Blueberry Steel Cut Oatmeal with Flaxseed

  1. Bring four cups of water to a boil.

  2. Sprinkle in one cup of oats. Boil oats on high heat for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Let oats simmer on lowest setting for 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes and scraping any oats the stick from the bottom.

  4. Stir in cinnamon. Stir in milled flaxseed.

  5. Remove oats from heat and stir in blueberries, then let sit for five minutes.

  6. Put oatmeal in an airtight container and set in fridge overnight.

  7. In the morning, cut into four portions. Reheat with a couple teaspoons of water or milk, then enjoy!
