Blueberry Scones in a lighter version

Recipe Ingredients for Blueberry Scones

2 c all purpose flour
2 tbsp SPLENDA Brown Sugar Blend
2 tsp SPLENDA Brown Sugar Blend
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c butter
1 c dried blueberries
3/4 c lowfat buttermilk
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Blueberry Scones

  1. Heat oven to 375

  2. Cut butter into mixture of flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add blueberries and toss to mix

  3. In seperate bowl beat together buttermilk and egg, slowly pour into dry ingredients, stirring with rubber scraper until dowgh forms. Knead just until it comes together, 3 or 4 times. Dont overhandle.

  4. Divide dough in half. On lightly floured board, shape each half into a 6 inch round. Cut into 6 wedges. Bake on ungreased sheet about 20 mins at 375 serve warm
