Recipe Ingredients for blueberry crumble

1 quart blueberries
1 T lemon juice
1/4 t Cinnamon, ground
1 c All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 c applesauce

Recipe Directions for blueberry crumble

  1. Directions

  2. Preheat oven to 350 deg.

  3. Wash berries and drain. Place in 1-1/2 quart buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon.

  4. Mix flour, sugar and dash of salt. Cut in applesauce with pastry blender (or with hands) until crumbly.

  5. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the berries.

  6. Bake about 45 minutes until the topping is brown and the berries are bubbling through.

  7. NOTE: I will pour 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water in with blueberries before putting on the flour mix if they appear dry or not very juicy.
