Recipe Ingredients for Blondie Chocolate Bars

1/3 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 oz semisweet chocolate

Recipe Directions for Blondie Chocolate Bars

  1. Soften margarine. Add brown sugar; mix. Combine egg and vanilla.

  2. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir, then mix well with wet ingredients.

  3. Stir in chocolate chunks. Chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, or nuts may also be used. Simply sprinkling them on top may also be delicious.

  4. Spread batter into 8x8 square pan, lightly greased to prevent sticking.

  5. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Produces about 15 gooey, cookie-like blondie/brownie/chocolate squares of delicioiusness.
