Easy and tasty fish recipe from Food.com website. Removed salt and vegetable oil from original recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Blackened Tilapia

2 T paprika
1 T onion powder
1/8 t garlic powder
1 t black pepper
1 t cayenne pepper
1 t dried oregano
1 t dried thyme
1/2 t celery seed
1 lb tilapia fillets
1 T olive oil
1 cut into wedges fruit+2-1/8"+dia lemon

Recipe Directions for Blackened Tilapia

  1. 1. Coat the fish fillets with the spice mixture and allow to sit at room temperature for no longer than 30 minutes.

  2. 2. Over high heat, add oil to skillet and heat until hot.

  3. 3. Cook fillets for about 3 miutes per side, or until fish is opaque and can bve flaked with a fork.

  4. 4. Removed from pan.

  5. 5. Squeeze lemon juice all over. Serve.
