Recipe Ingredients for blackberry and apple crumble

8 oz apples, cooking
4 oz blackberries
2 oz margarine
3 oz wholewheat flour
2 oz sugar
1/2 tablespoon splenda
1 oz oats
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice

Recipe Directions for blackberry and apple crumble

  1. cook apples and blackberries until tender in a little water with 1/2 tablespoon splenda, drain and set aside until cool.

  2. place the cooled apple mix in an ovenproof dish.

  3. In a bowl rub fat into flour till it resembles breadcrumbs, add sugar spice and oats and mix well, place on top of fruit.

  4. Bake in apre heated oven gas mark 5 for about 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.

  5. Serve hot with custard or cream.
