Recipe Ingredients for Black lentil soup

1/4 cup (RAW= 1 cup cooked)) Black Lentils
1 serving Pure Vegetable Oil
1 tbsp chopped Onions
1 cup, chopped Carrots
4 cup Vegetable Broth
1 cup (RAW= 1 cup cooked)) (42 g) Black Lentils
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
0.25 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
1 oz Bay Leaves
1 dash Salt, Table
0.5 fl oz Lemon Juice

Recipe Directions for Black lentil soup

  1. In a large pot, saute the onions and carrot in the vegetable oil for 3-5 minutes until onions turn clear.

  2. Add the vegetable broth, lentils, pepper, thyme, bay leaves and salt.

  3. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook until lentils are soft, about 45 minutes. Remove bay leaves and stir in lemon juice before serving.
