Recipe Ingredients for black eyed peas smoky and veggie

1 lb dried Black-eyed peas
1 chipotle peppers
1 tablespoons of adobo sauce
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon coriander seed
1 teaspoon cumin
6 cloves garlic, skins still intact
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe Directions for black eyed peas smoky and veggie

  1. Put the ingredients except the parsley in a crock pot with 2 quarts water for 5 or 6 hours on high.

  2. Carmelize the onions and garlic before you put it in the crock pot.
