Also known as lobiya or chawli, these black eye beans are creamy white in color and have a black mark on their inner curve. Black eye beans are unique because they taste wonderful without any spices. They may be cooked as dal or just boiled to a thick consistency and mixed with diced tomatoes, onions and salt for a snack.

Recipe Ingredients for Black-eyed Peas Salad

200 grams Peas Black-Eyed
1 serving Hot Green Chile Peppers
1 large Onions
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Oregano, Ground
10 ea. Raw Tomato Cherry

Recipe Directions for Black-eyed Peas Salad

  1. Soak the beans in water overnight.

  2. The next morning add a pinch of sodabicarb and salt.

  3. Cook the beans till tender and dry.
