Black beans, rice, tomatos, onions, and green peppers

Recipe Ingredients for Black Beans and Rice

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 Green pepper, chopped
15 ounce black beans, undrained
7 ounce diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup uncooked instant brown rice
1 lb. beef

Recipe Directions for Black Beans and Rice

  1. In large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high.

  2. Cook beef and remove from pan.

  3. Add onion, cook and stir until tender.

  4. Add beans, tomatoes, oregano and garlic powder.

  5. Bring to a boil; stir in rice.

  6. Cover; reduce heat add beef and simmer 5 minutes.

  7. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes before serving.
