Easy to make, slow cooker recipe. Add your own toppings or spices to make it go which ever way you want. Add more veggies too!

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean soup Slow cooker

1 pound Dried Black Beans
2 leeks
3 cloves garlic
1/2 onion
2 pepper jalapenos
2 T cumin
1 T chili powder
4 cups chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Black bean soup Slow cooker

  1. Soak beans overnight. Rinse.

  2. Saute garlic, onion, and leek until soft.

  3. Add beans, and the rest of the ingredients to a slow cooker.

  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

  5. Top with assorted toppings, such as , fresh lime juice, diced onion, queso fresco, cilantro, crumbled bacon.
