Great soup, season w/ chili powder, garlic, chipotle chili powder & cumin...yum!

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean soup

1 lb black beans
12 cups water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion
30 oz canned tomato
1 jalapeno pepper

Recipe Directions for Black bean soup

Saute onion, added water and beans, simmer for 1.5hrs then in separate pan simmer spices and tomato until thickened (10min) then add to soup and simmer for 30min. Finally, blend to desired thickness w/ immersion blender.
