Thick savory stew/soup. If using canned beans you can cut down cooking time but flavors will be weaker.

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean soup

1 cup black beans, dried
1 1/2 quarts water
4/5 g bay leaf
2 tbs olive oil
1 cup onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tbs tomato paste
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups potatos, chopped
50 g pork bone

Recipe Directions for Black bean soup

  1. Wash beans and soak 24 hours.

  2. drain, reserving 2/3 of liquid

  3. put all ingredients in slow cooker add fresh water to bean water to make 1.5 quarts

  4. Cook on high for 10 hours or until beans are soft.
