Black Bean Soup, similiar to Panera Bread Recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Soup (Panera Bread-like)

12 serving Beans Black
1 large Onions
1 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
3 clove Garlic
0.5 pepper Peppers, Jalapeno
3 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
0.5 tsp Cloves, Ground
0.5 tsp Cumin
0.13 cup Lemon Juice
3 serving Instant Broth and Seasoning Sodium Free Bouillon Packets Chicken

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Soup (Panera Bread-like)

  1. 1. Cook beans until very soft. (see above recipe)

  2. 2. Lightly spray a skillet with olive oil cooking spray and saute onion,

  3. garlic, celery, chiles, green pepper, and cloves until the onion is lightly

  4. browned.

  5. 3. Add some of the bean broth and dissolve the bouillon cubes or powder.

  6. 4. Add lemon juice. Simmer until vegetables are soft.

  7. 5. Mash some of the beans with a potato masher and combine vegetable mix with

  8. the beans.

  9. 6. Bring the soup to a bol, lower heat, and simmer for 10-15 minutes to blend

  10. flavors. Add water if the soup is too thick. Add salt if necessary.

  11. Serve garnished with a lemon slice.

  12. Serves 6-8.
