Not too hot with spice, just a nice soup. About thirty minutes from start to finish.

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean shrimp soup

340 grams frozen shrimp, thawed
500 grams frozen vegetables
2 tablespoons black bean sauce
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 teaspoon honey
4 cloves garlic
4 cups vegetable broth
1 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon butter

Recipe Directions for Black bean shrimp soup

  1. Sautee garlic in butter until soft.

  2. Add ginger and sautee a minute or two to release the flavour.

  3. Add veggies and sautee until nearly cooked.

  4. Stir in black bean sauce and honey.

  5. Pour broth over veggie mixture. Simmer ten minutes while you thaw shrimp in colander.

  6. Add shrimp at the end of the cooking time. Simmer not more than five minutes or the shrimp will become rubbery. Add pepper to taste.
