Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean/Prune Brownies

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups brown sugar
7 prunes
1 cup water
14 oz Eden Black beans
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
4 tsp instant coffee powder
1 1/2 cups hazelnuts
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Black Bean/Prune Brownies

  1. Soak prunes in 1 cup hot water for 1 hour. Rinse black beans with water, add to prunes. Puree.

  2. Mix dry ingredients together, add prune/bean mixture to dry ingredients. Add extra water to batter if too sticky.

  3. Bake @ 350F for 28 minutes or until sides are browned.
