I use this recipe to get rid of leftovers. Great for whatever meat and veggies are sitting around in the fridge. I've used with both meat and veggies that were already cooked for a meal or were raw. Works equally well for both.

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean and Oyster sauce stir fry with turkey and asparagus

8 oz Turkey Breast Meat
1.5 cup Asparagus
4 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Black Bean Sauce
2 serving Oyster Sauce
2 oz Water
1 tbsp Corn Starch

Recipe Directions for Black bean and Oyster sauce stir fry with turkey and asparagus

  1. I like to serve this with rice. This cooks really quickly, so start the rice ahead of time. Measurements are approximate...modify according to what you have available and to taste.

  2. Chop garlic. Chop veggies and meat into similar size pieces for even cooking.

  3. Sauce: Mix black bean sauce, oyster sauce, corn starch and water in a small bowl. Stir thoroughly to incorporate corn starch. Set aside.

  4. Heat your wok (my preference) or a good sized saute pan on high. Add just enough oil (I like grapeseed, but any kind with a high smoke point will work) to coat the pan.

  5. If the meat is raw, put it all into the pan first and cook halfway before adding veggies and garlic. If it is cooked, then put meat, veggies, and garlic into the pan at the same time. Move around the pan a bit until warmed or until meat is completely cooked.

  6. Add all of the sauce to the pan and stir to coat meat and veggies. Turn the heat down, but keep it high enough that the sauce will come to a simmer and thicken the sauce.
