1 can black bean and onion soup. 1 very large serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Black bean onion soup

1.5 cup Black Beans
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
2 tbsp Low Fat Sour Cream
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Pepper, White
1 cup Beef Stock
1 Tbsp 37% Light Buttery Spread

Recipe Directions for Black bean onion soup

cut an onion in half. Chop half and put in a sauce pan. Add half the smart balance and allow to saute for 10 minutes. Add beans, do not drain. Fill can with water or veg stock or beef stock and add to pot. Add spices. In another pan, over high heat, caramelize the other half of the onion, sliced until well browned. Serve soup and top with the caramelized onions.
