Good ole Carroll Shelby chili. Topped with reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese and reduced fat sour cream. Nothin' but heat!

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Chili

1 pound of lean ground beef
1/4 cup onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup chili powder
2 tbsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
14 ounce tomato sauce
14 ounce black bean
24 ounces of water
1/3 cup warm water
1/3 cup masa corn flour

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Chili

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet

  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic in bottom of slow cooker.

  3. Add tomato sauce, black beans, spices and 24 ounces of water to slow cooker

  4. In small cup, mix 1/3 cup warm water and masa flour until thickened.

  5. Add flour mixture to slow cooker

  6. Add browned beef to cooker and cook for 4-6 hours.
